ENGINE & EXHAUST

The KTM 300 XC-W TPI engine leads the field in offroad competition with innovative electronic fuel injection that sets a new standard in offroad 2-stroke racing. Its modern architecture includes high-end features, like the well-protected E-starter, a new cylinder with two injectors and a Twin-Valve Control power valve. A 6-speed enduro transmission and hydraulically operated DDS clutch transfer truckloads of tractable power to the back wheel.

BODYWORK & GRAPHICS

KTM’s engineers, KISKA Design and the factory race team have all played a part in collaboratively shaping the plastics on the 2019 range. Featuring I-beam structures on the front and rear fenders for maximum stability and low weight, while a unique brake hose routing on the front number plate prevents unnecessary wear and tear.

SOFTWARE & ELECTRONICS

Boasting a newly developed control unit with an all-new wiring harness and several individual sensors, the new KTM XC-W TPI models feature the most modern engine management system of any 2-stroke off-road motorcycle. Utilizing various sensor data such as intake and ambient air pressure, throttle valve position, water temperature, and an electronically controlled oil pump, the control unit works tirelessly to optimize ignition timing and fuel injection for perfectly smooth power delivery.
