ELECTRONICS
ABS CORNERING: ABS Cornering aptly uses the signals from Bosch’s IMU platform to maximize balancing of the braking power delivered to the front and rear wheels even in critical situations and with the motorcycle in a leaning position. By interacting with the Riding Modes, the system is able to provide the ideal solution for every situation and riding condition or rider’s preferences.
DUCATI WHEELIE CONTROL: Ducati Wheelie Control has been developed and set based on the characteristics of the Multistrada V4 Rally to be even more precise during those propulsive moves typical of sports riding. Integrated into the Riding Modes, DWC is adjustable according to eight levels. Thanks to the IMU that continuously monitors bike setup. In case of a wheelie, the system manages engine delivery to ensure the maximum possible acceleration (in line with the selected level) in safety.
DUCATI TRACTION CONTROL: An integral part of the Ducati Safety Pack, Ducati Traction Control is at its evolutionary peak on the Multistrada V4 Rally. The DTC integrates data coming from the IMU to manage any loss in grip while also considering the lean angle. By receiving and processing data arriving from the sensors in the space of a few thousands of a second, the system can manage any rear wheel slide for a significant increase in the performance and active safety of the bike.
VEHICLE HOLD CONTROL: Vehicle Hold Control allows for safe and comfortable starts even in difficult situations, such as on a hill, autonomously managing the brake pressure on start-up so that the user need only focus on the throttle and clutch.
ENGINE
ENGINE: Multistrada V4 Rally is powered by the V4 Granturismo, a light, compact and powerful engine designed to travel long distances with its 37,000 miles service interval.
DESIGNED TO GO FAR: V4 GRANTURISMO: A valve clearance interval of 37,000 miles and a scheduled oil change every 9000 miles means only one thing – more time to enjoy the ride.
SMOOTH POWER AND LIGHTNESS: Unchanged in its mechanics, the 1158 cc V4 Granturismo engine delivers 170 hp (125 kW) at 10,750 rpm and 125 Nm (12.7 kgm) at 8750 rpm, with a total weight of just 147 lb.
FROM 170 TO 114 HORSEPOWER: THE DEDICATED ENDURO RIDING MODE: Multistrada V4 Rally adopts a dedicated engine mode, Enduro Riding Mode with Off-Road power mode, to limit engine power to 114 hp for a more dynamic, direct response and a reduction in consumption and emissions.
OPTIMIZED CONSUMPTION AND THERMAL COMFORT: In addition to switching off the rear cylinders at idle with the motorcycle stationary, a function already present on the Multistrada V4, the V4 Granturismo now keeps the rear bank deactivated in other operating conditions to the benefit of fuel consumption and emissions.
FEATURES
TECHNOLOGY AND ELECTRONICS: Front and rear radar with Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection, as well as dedicated riding modes with the Off-Road Power Mode that limits power to 115 hp.
DESIGN: The 7.9-gallon tank ensures greater range and has led to a full redesign of the bike’s front end. The ‘shoulders’ are even more powerful but no higher while providing improved comfort and ergonomics.
AERODYNAMICS: Deflectors update the aerodynamics package to limit turbulence for the rider and passenger and reduce air flow in cold weather.
CHASSIS: Skyhook DSS EVO suspension with travel increased to 7.9 inches, Auto-Levelling, Minimum Preload and the suspension lowering kit.
COMFORT: First-class comfort for rider and passenger, with an elongated tail and a rearward case fastening for a roomier travel experience.
SAFETY AND TECHNOLOGY
EASY LOW-SPEED RIDING AND MANEUVERING FROM A STANSTILL: Multistrada V4 Rally features two functions designed to facilitate low-speed riding and maneuvering from a standstill. The Minimum Preload allows suspension preload to be reduced to zero lowering the bike. Easy Lift acts on the hydraulics, fully opening the suspension valves for a limited time/for three minutes after the engine is turned on so that it is easier to lift the bike off the central stand.
ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL: LONG DISTANCE WOTHOUT FATIGUE: The front radar, perfectly integrated into the front end of the Multistrada V4 Rally, controls the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) function. By means of controlled braking and acceleration it automatically maintains the distance (set by the driver in 4 levels) from other vehicles when driving at a speed between 18 and 99 mph.
BLIND SPOT DETECTION: ALL-ENCOMPASSING SAFETY: The rear radar, positioned under the light, can detect vehicles located in the so-called blind spot, or rather the area that the rider cannot see directly or in the rearview mirror. The BSD (Blind Spot Detection) system warns the rider with LED lights on the rearview mirrors, which light up on the relevant side every time a vehicle is detected in the blind spot.
DUCATI CORNERING LIGHTS: EVEN GREATER VISIBILITY: The Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally is equipped as standard with full LED lights and a front headlight complete with DRL and Cornering Lights. The rear light integrates the Ducati Brake Light function. Ducati Brake Light, in case of any sudden braking, automatically begins to flash in order to provide sufficient warning as to the sudden deceleration. The turn indicators, also LED, automatically switch off after use thanks to the auto turn-off system.
