TAKE ON TOUGH TRAILS: The KX™450X motorcycle is built to meet the tough demands of cross-country racing. Cross-country wheels (F21"/R18") are paired with specific Dunlop Geomax AT81 tires developed for GNCC racing. A convenient side stand comes as standard equipment and a new quick-release side cover offers tool-less air filter access for quick and easy service.
GET THE PERFECT FIT: Slim ergonomics stem from a narrow frame and minimalist bodywork. New shrouds, side covers, and rear fender are firmer and eliminate hooking points, further facilitating rider movement. New ODI lock-on grips add enhanced grip feel and ease of installation. To help facilitate the perfect fit, the KX™450X motorcycle features ERGO-FIT® adjustability. Four handlebar positions and two footpeg positions allow you to tailor the KX450X to your body size, riding style, and preference.
KX™ CHASSIS PERFORMANCE
GAIN FULL CONTROL: Light and nimble handling is achieved thanks to the lean, lightweight chassis of the legendary KX™450 motocross bike. The new aluminum perimeter frame is lighter and features optimized rigidity balance for light nimble handling and increased front-end feel. The muffler has been repositioned for improved mass centralization resulting in lighter handling. The high-performance, race-ready suspension has been optimized for cross-country racing, especially on aggressive trails. New drilled Braking/Sunstar discs (270/240mm) paired with a Brembo caliper and master cylinder at the front and a Nissin caliper and master cylinder at the rear deliver strong stopping power and a high level of control.
KX™ ENGINE PERFORMANCE
POWER AHEAD: The same championship-proven engine performance found in KX™ motocross bikes is what propels the KX™450X motorcycle. This updated 449cc 4-stroke fuel-injected engine delivers the type of hard-hitting power and a flat torque curve that encourages quick acceleration. Engine maps are optimized for cross-country racing and are now tunable, using the new RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX on your smartphone, to change power delivery to best suit riding conditions and personal preference. New handlebar-mounted Kawasaki TRaction Control (KTRC) and power modes buttons offer on-the-fly adjustments for ever-changing off-road conditions. Electric start makes starting the engine as easy as a push of a button. A coned disc-spring hydraulic clutch offers a direct feel, light lever action, and consistent performance.
